GETTING AROUND BENICASSIM and beyond

When you're not watching bands or sleeping you're probably going to want to hit the beach or check out the bars and restaurants in the town.

For more info on leisure activities, beaches, food and drink visit the official Benicassim tourism website.

For information on our special FIB bus routes connecting the site with the town, beaches and campsites and for details of how to get to and from the festival from neighbouring Castellón, Oropesa and Marina D'Or see below.

Buses - Around Benicassim & Villacamp

FIB Benicassim Routes

There are special FIB routes linking the arena and Campfest with the train station, Villacamp, the beaches and Benicassim town.

These buses arrive and depart from the bus stop at the festival site and before the festival we will publish maps of the routes. They go to door to door from Villacamp to the festival and back.

The weekly "bonobus" / bus pass costs 15€ and is valid for unlimited travel on these routes between July 16 and July 23.

You can buy them in advance now or they will be on sale at the Bus Information Point in the Hall area of the festival near wristband exchange.
Individual tickets can also be purchased there  (1.50€) or you can pay in cash on the bus.

These special FIB routes do NOT serve Oropesa, Marina D’Or, Castellón and cannot be used on the shuttle buses between these locations and the festival. These routes are for getting around Benicassim – see shuttles if you are staying outside Benicassim.

Holders of the weekly FIB bus passes (bonobus)  can also use their pass to travel for free on all normal Mediterraneo bus lines  throughout the region. These extend to Oropesa and Castellón but please note the normal services do not run through the night so again you should get a pass for the official shuttles for getting to and from the festival from outside Benicassim.

This service is operated by Mediterraneo Holidays.

Taxis

There will be a taxi rank at the festival site but we can’t stress enough that we are not in a major city and there can be long waits for taxis especially towards the end of the night. We recommend making use of the official bus services if possible. FIB does not control or have any responsibility over taxis and drivers.

Sharing saves on cost and queues but please be very careful who you get in a cab with especially after a few drinks.
Don't let anyone pressure you into sharing your cab - if you feel unsafe or unsure say NO.

The best ways to get a taxi are:

  • At one of the taxi ranks in the town.
  • Call one of the official taxi offices:
    • Taxi Benicàssim: 647 777 577
    • Ana: 964 663 419 / 608 048 085
    • Radio Taxi Castellón: 964 23 74 74
    • Su Taxi: 964 10 11 01

Bear in mind:

  • The taxi fleets are limited so the wait can be quite long.
  • The taxis charge for the journey, NOT by occupants (max 4 people per taxi).
  • The cost must be shown on the meter, make sure it’s switched on at the start of your journey.
  • Always ask for a receipt.
  • The costs will vary according to where you pick up and the level of traffic, but a journey from Oropesa to the Festival should cost about 18€ and 25€ from Castellon).
  • Make a note of the license number (situated on the dashboard or by the door) in case you need to make a complaint. If you do, you should go to the 'Comisaria de Policia' situated in the Hall area at the Festival entrance.
  • Some drivers will offer you a fixed price journey, this isn't an official service and you can't be sure who's taking you. We recommend you avoid this and only use official taxis.

BICYCLES

Bicycles will be available rent in the campsites.

CAR

We recommend that even if you have come by car you leave it parked and get around by buses or bicycle where possible due to congestion in the town during the festival.
