TIME PERIOD FOR THE SUBMISSION OF PRESS ACCREDITATION APPLICATIONS AND ACCOMPANYING MATERIALS
From June 4 to June 28, both included and with absolutely no possibilities of extending the deadline. All materials postmarked within these dates will be accepted.
PRESS ACCREDITATION PROCEDURE
1.- After having read these instructions, you should access, through your Web browser,

2.- The accreditation application will then appear on your screen. You will have to fill out a separate form for each person seeking accreditation, using only lower-case (small) letters in all the sections except for the Media section, which must be filled out in upper-case (capital) letters. Once the application filled, click on “Send”. It is very important that you select “International Press” in the Department section.
You will then have the option to check and modify the data included in your application (“Cancel”). Once completely filled out, click on “Accept”.
Once you have completed the application form, your pre-registration data will appear onscreen, including a reference number you will have to take down; once this done, we will have received your application. The Festival will contact you by e-mail between June 29 and July 13 to let you know if your application has been accepted or declined.
It is of utmost importance that you correctly indicate your e-mail address since this is where all information regarding accreditations will be sent. Please provide only one e-mail address, and make sure it is the one you regularly use. The Festival will not be held responsible for any errors resulting from malfunctioning e-mail accounts belonging to applicants.
All applications properly submitted will be responded to within the stipulated time period. We ask you to please be patient and wait for us to get in touch with you.
3.- The following materials and documentation, which you will need to send to us, are required to request and process accreditations:
• A photocopy of your Identity Card or Passport
• A letter – signed by the director of your media and printed on official company letterhead – certifying that you will be covering the Festival.
• Editorial project, signed and stamped by your manager and detailing:
1. Media name
2. Frequency of the media
3. Your first name, last name, telephone number and email
4. First name, last name, telephone number and email of your area manager.
5. Project publication date
6. Project approximate length
• All previous information that your media organisation has either broadcast or published about FIB Heineken 2007.
In order to request accreditation, prior publication or broadcast of information about FIB Heineken 2007 is absolutely mandatory:
o Web pages must send a list of links along with screen shots of the news.
o Radio stations must send mp3 audio files of previously broadcast programmes making reference to FIB Heineken 2007.
o Television stations must send a DVD of previously broadcast programmes making reference to FIB Heineken 2007.
o Printed press must send the news scanned on a pdf file
4.- The number of accredited journalists per media organisation will be determined based on the capacity of the press area. Both free and paid accreditations will be issued. The price for these accreditations is 155€ for three day passes and 170€ for four day passes.
MATERIAL SUBMISSION PROCEDURE
All material must be scanned and sent by e-mail and must have a 2 MB maximum weight.
It is mandatory to include in your e-mail subject: your reference number (which appears onscreen once the application form is filled out) – media name, exclusively (for example: 0034 – THE TIMES); otherwise, your application will not be considered.

Mailing address for mp3 files (of over 2 MB) and DVDs, exclusively:
Radio stations whose mp3 files exceed 2 MB must send their previously broadcast programmes on CD by registered mail and must include in the package the editorial project already sent by e-mail.
Televisions must send their previously broadcast programmes on DVD by registered mail and must include in the package the editorial project already sent by e-mail.

All mailed material must be sent by registered mail within the stipulated time period; as a reference, we will use the postmark date. Incomplete packages will not be accepted.
ACCREDITATION PICK UP
• Accreditations can be picked up starting on July 17 at the Oficina Central de Acreditaciones (Central Accreditation Office – located at the 986,300-kilometer point along National Highway 340 in Benicàssim, right next to the petrol station). Each accredited journalist will be able to pick up only and exclusively his/her accreditation. In order to pick up accreditations, it will be absolutely necessary to present your National Identification Card or passport as well as your reference number.
