We continue to confirm new names that are guaranteed to make the FIB Heineken 2007 line-up unique and exciting:

There are very few voices out there that can authentically express the full range of feelings and emotions in music, and one of them belongs to Amy Winehouse. Albums like “Frank” and “Back to Black” are genuine milestones in the soul scene today, calling to mind the sheer power and personality of spellbinding singers like Gloria Jones, Martha Reeves and Betty Lavette. When it comes to emotionally thrilling singing, this British songbird stands with best, and that’s why we are overjoyed to announce that she will be performing her great songs at this year’s Festival.

Last year his magic blew us all away. His songs have an uncanny ability to transport you to new and uncharted spaces, and his concert here brought this to a whole new dimension. This year, Rufus Wainwright returns to promote his brand-new release, “Release the Stars”, which is destined to become yet another classic recording of feelings and melodies. We await him with open arms.

Next up is Albert Hammond Jr., who was at the Festival last year with The Strokes, and comes this year to perform songs from his first solo album, “Yours to Keep”, which showcases his great talent for the kind of rock that is driven by infectious guitar strumming and killer choruses.

As is only fitting, we are proud to announce that a fine selection of Spanish bands will also be performing on the Festival’s stages. Along these lines, we are ecstatic to announce that Fangoria will be performing this year to once again prove that Alaska and Nacho Canut have written some of the most brilliant chapters of the history of pop music in our country. Throughout their many manifestations – starting with Kaka De Luxe and then Alaska & Los Pegamoides and Alaska & Dinarama, until becoming Fangoria – the trajectory of this duo has been a journey through the most personal, rhythmic and unprejudiced spheres of pop and electronic music.

Fangoria is preparing a very special concert featuring all their greatest songs and some surprises from the Pegamoides and Dinarama days. There’s no doubt this will be one of the most exciting nights of the Festival. If you have never seen them live, don’t miss this chance to dance with them. Their presence on the line-up is essential.

Continuing along the same vein, we are pleased to announce yet another very exceptional concert. Celebrating the thirtieth anniversary of the release of a fundamentally groundbreaking album in Spanish music, “Veneno”, Kiko Veneno comes to the Festival to perform highlights from his sweeping roots-based career. In the same fashion as Calexico, Goran Bregovic, Beirut and Pascal Comelade, this guy has blazed his own trail his own way.

And the good news just keeps coming. Nawjajean will also be gracing the FIB Heineken 2007 line-up. Nawja Nimri and Carlos Jean will be performing together again after going off on their respective solo adventures. The hauntingly beautiful voice of Nawja colours the suggestive and atmospheric arrangements of Carlos Jean in such a way that redefines electronic music. Suffice it to say, this is one of those “must-see” concerts.

Catpeople, with a rock sound that shimmers with vibes of post-punk energy, also joins the first round of confirmations from Spanish bands. They are another one of those great bands personifying the exciting and creative times our country is experiencing, and these are experiences we want to share with you at the Festival.

Continuing with the musical panorama of FIB Heineken 2007, just to make sure the rhythm keeps going strong, we will also be treated to Vitalic, straight from The Ukraine. He will be in charge of making sure the sound is focused on the dance floor, leaving no doubt whatsoever that it’s time to dance.
 
LAST ALLOTMENT OF 5,000 THREE- AND FOUR-DAY PASSES WITH NINE DAYS OF FREE CAMPING
 
On Monday, April 16, the last allotment of 5,000 three- and four-day passes with nine days of free camping will go on sale. The price of the three-day pass (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) will be €155; the four-day pass (Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday) will be €170.

Besides the 5,000 three- and four-day passes sold during the Christmas Campaign, we informed you on March 18 that we were about to sell the last of the specially-priced second allotment of three- and four-day passes. However, given the great demand, the event organiser has decided to issue 5,000 more. Which means that as of today – with still over three months to go – the first allotment of 20,000 three- and four-day passes is about to be sold out.

Up until Monday, April 16, the prices of passes will continue to be €145 (three-day pass) and €160 (four-day pass).
