All the music of FIB Heineken on our Radio

Starting today, June 5, the FIB Heineken 2008 radio station will begin broadcasting on the Internet. Our radio station is tailor made to the Festival’s line-up, a place where you can listen to your favourite songs and discover new artists.

Our radio station will operate 24 hours a day, uninterrupted, and features some important improvements to the 2007 broadcast. Once again, Musicvictim has been charged with implementing this service.

FIBERS against AIDS :: FIB Heineken and SATURDAY NIGHT FIBER – Benicàssim day in Madrid against AIDS
Maraworld and the international organisation, Designers Against AIDS (DAA), joined forces in the fight against AIDS yesterday, 4th June, when they presented a range of projects which they are developing together with the aim of supporting this noble cause in La Casa Encendida in Madrid.

Major Spanish designers and artists - Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, Amaya Arzuaga, Carles Congost, Carlos Díez, Chicks On Speed, Daniel Riera, David Delfín, Krizia Robustilla for EP3, Fake, Fangoria & Nancys Rubias, La Casa Azul, La Casita de Wendy, Lenfenterrible for Neo 2, among others – contributed to this initiative with their designs. The list of names will be even longer with the addition of various artists who will perform at FIB Heineken and Saturday Night Fiber – Benicàssim Day in Madrid.

Among the many designs we received in response to the competition “Fibers against AIDS” (a T-shirt design competition organised by DAA and FIB Heineken 2008) the design “Use the Head” by Raquel Vila Díaz was the one chosen by the jury.

The Ninth FIB International Short Film Festival :: Official Section and Sample of Short Films on video

The Ninth FIB International Short Film Festival continues on course, and the Official Section is now available as well as the programming of the Sample of Short Films on video.

Short films by artists from Germany, Spain, the United Kingdom, France, Belgium, Greece, Norway and Iceland, among other countries, form part of the 25 finalists for the Official Section.

‘Benicàssim. The Festival’ at PHE 08

The joint initiative of MUSAC (The Castilla y León Museum of Contemporary Art) and Maraworld, financed by Bancaja and published by ACTAR, which produced the large-format book ‘Benicàssim. The Festival’, continues to yield successes. Its latest achievement is appearing on the short list of works selected for the PHotoEspaña 07 award (PHotoEspaña is one of the world’s most prestigious photography and visual-arts festivals), and as such it will appear at ‘The Best Photography Books of the Year’ Exhibition at the National Library.

Fiber Club Plus

Fiber Club Plus, the club of friends of FIB Heineken, is now up and running. Amongst the advantages “Fibers” can enjoy by becoming a member, it includes bus service back and forth between the Valencia Airport and Benicàssim. More information here.

Fast > Track is a competition that will offer an unsigned music artist or band the opportunity to play at Benicàssim Festival 2008.
