Compensating our carbon footprint by planting trees

In 2008 Maraworld set up the Fiberbosque –Fiberforest- project to compensate the Festival’s carbon footprint by planting local varieties (mulberry and chinaberry trees) in the camping area. Today, with over 450 trees already planted, Fiberbosque is a reality that helps compensate the carbon footprint of the events carried out in the area.

Mobility

Apart from collaborating with traffic officials to efficiently manage the impact the Festival has on communications in and around Benicàssim, Maraworld carries out several programmes to encourage organised and shared travel, as well as organising different transportation services to and from the main airports and shuttle buses to help people get around the town.

Maraworld also supports and promotes Amovens as a means of shared transportation for Benicàssim.

Last but not least, FIB offers bike rentals for festivalgoers so they can move around town in the greenest and healthiest way possible.

Sustainable purchases

Maraworld buys its office supplies both for the organization and festival services with sustainability in mind, by using recycled and recyclable supplies as well as fair trade products.

A responsible use of water

The Festival has flow control valves installed at all the facilities at the venue and camping areas.

Remember water in Benicàssim is scarce. Help us economize water by making a responsible use!
