FIB Heineken has implemented a series of measures to protect and respect our environment. We encourage you to collaborate and support our commitment. As such, we offer you 20 practical tips as you prepare to travel to Benicàssim and during your stay at the Festival.

When shopping…
1.- Try to consumer local products.
2.- Whenever you can, buy ecological products with environmentally-friendly guarantees on their labels.
3.- Try to consume fair-trade products. For more information, visit the Intermón Oxfam stand at the Festival venue.

Reduce, Reuse and Recycle your garbage…
To reduce…
4.- Use your backpack or a cloth bag when shopping. Avoid using plastic bags.
5.- Try to buy reusable products, avoiding those that you use and throw away.
6.- Try to buy products that make it possible to reduce your waste: products sold loose or in economy-size packs that are returnable, reusable or recyclable. Avoid Tetra Pack containers and mixed products sold in Styrofoam trays with excessive wrapping.
7.- Reduce the space your waste occupies by compacting it.
To reuse…
8.- At the Intermón Oxfam stand you can buy a reusable glass that will last you the entire Festival. As such, you can collaborate in the reduction of waste and also bring home a souvenir from FIB Heineken.

To recycle…
9.- Use the yellow containers for plastic, metal and Tetra Pak containers as well as plastic wrapping, aluminium foil and plastic bags.
10.- Use the blue containers for paper and cardboard. Do not use these containers for mixed paper, laminated paper or all-too-filthy paper, like napkins and tissues.
11.- Use the green containers for glass bottles and jars. Do not throw porcelain in these containers, and the same goes for lids and corks.
12.- Use the grey containers for food waste, mixed paper, lids, napkins, tissues and any other kind of non-recyclable waste.
13.- Use the “puntos limpios” (clean points) to throw away your dead batteries.
14.- Don’t throw your cigarette butts on the ground, especially if you’re at the beach, in the camping grounds or out in the countryside. Use the pocket ashtrays that we will give you at the venue.

Use water responsibly…
15.- Turn the tap off when you’re brushing your teeth and lathering up your hands or body. Twelve litres of water run through an open tap per minute!
16.- Do not use the toilet as a wastepaper bin. Avoid flushing unnecessarily.
17.- If you see a leak or a broken cistern anywhere, please let us know so that we can fix it as soon as possible.

Travelling and getting around…
18.- Avoid using your car to travel to Benicàssim. Use public transportation, or organise trips and car-pool with others. More information at fiberfib.com.
19.- Use the public-transport services provided by the Festival to get around Benicàssim. For short distances, walking or riding a bicycle are the healthiest alternatives.

Avoid acoustic pollution…
20.- Protect your ears. Get your free earplugs at the FIBinfo stand at the venue.
With small gestures like these, we can achieve great changes.
