Check out the rules and regulations here.

The FIB International Short Film Festival was born in 2000 as a way to showcase the wealth of talent of both established and up-and-coming Spanish filmmakers in conjunction with the Benicàssim music festival. Seven years later, it has evolved into one of the most important short-film events in Spain.

Besides the award for Best Short Film (which includes a cash prize, a broadcast of the short film on TVE’s acclaimed programme “Versión Española”, and inclusion in the FIB Heineken – International Benicàssim Festival DVD), awards are also given to the First Runner-Up, the Best Screenplay, the Best Actor and the Best Actress. There is also an Audience Award.

The festival has featured works by renowned luminaries (such as Fele Martínez, Enrique Alcides, Natalia Verbeke and Alejo Sauras, to name a few) as well as bright young hopes (Santi Amodeo, Abraham López Feria and Pablo Tébar, José Javier Rodríguez Melcón and Nacho Vigalondo, among others) of Spanish film.
