It is hard to classify TV on the Radio. Their skill in mastering a diverse array of styles and tying them all in together seamlessly with an impeccable sense of rhythm and beat has made for some of the most surprising and variegated music in recent years. The New York band has an incredible knack for blending alternative rock, free jazz, soul and electro in a way that is totally natural and unique. Their critically acclaimed albums – “Desperate Youth, Blood Thirsty Babes” (4AD, 2004), “Return to Cookie Mountain” (4AD, 2006) and “Dear Science” (4AD, 2008) – have catapulted Gerard Smith, David Andrew Sitek, Kyp Malone, Tunde Adebimpe and Jaleel Bunton to the limelight. Along the way, they have collaborated with members of Blonde Redhead, Antibalas and Yeah Yeah Yeahs.TV on the Radio have also played live with the likes of David Bowie, Peter Murphy (Bauhaus) and Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails), among others.
