Peter Doherty means a lot of things to a lot of people, but regardless of where you stand, there’s no denying his ace musicianship.
He is the physical and emotional embodiment and driving force behind bands like The Libertines and Babyshambles – bands that have recorded albums of exalted rock, defining and engaging generations.
“Grace/Wastelands” (Parlophone, 2009) is the name of his first solo album on which mostly acoustic-tinged songs like “Last of the English Roses”, “Arcady” and “A Little Death Around the Eyes” mark a new step forward in the career of a truly inspired modern-day musician.
