Above and beyond the whole post-punk revival, there are certain names that have blazed new trails in unparalleled ways.

And the British band Gang of Four stands out among them. This band has been making outstanding music, always true to their well-defined ideological principles, ever since they first hit the scene in 1977.

These guys from Leeds, with Andy Gill at the helm, have luxuriantly and energetically blended punk, dub, disco and funk on their stellar albums. “Entertainment” (EMI, 1979) is one of the classic cornerstones of a amazing band with incredible and rare staying power.
